Fired the locked cobblestone shell as first action — feet ring (4 blocks at y-60) placed cleanly, but the head ring (y-59) and roof failed ('nothing to place on'/'dirt in the way'), leaving only a 1-high wall. Zombies step up 1 block in Minecraft, so a 1-high ring is no barrier; slain 10s after they arrived. Lesson: a single-blob shell that only lands the feet ring is useless — need a reliable 2-3 high enclosure or pillar-up in ONE atomic action.
